Early were my steps to the daunting Manhood, Dreaming all day, and wondering through the woods. Wanting, but afraid to explore the man within, Asking myself, "Am I dreaming?". Early in the season when flowers bloom, The air was sweet in the mother's room; Morning came with the promise of success, Like everyday I jumped into my dress. Eager in heart to meet friends, To share the thoughts and learn new trends; But it all differed that day, As I passed the Golden Bay. At a distance from where i was, Winter snow I felt it was. Emerged a lady whom I had seen, But where! "Was it in my dream?". It was when she came close, I thought my heart needed some dose. I was cold and still like a log, Not even attending the bark of a dog. Back to life with a look at her eyes, which seemed to wake anything which dies. A question rose disturbing my mind, "Is she who I thought was my kind?". Waiting for friends to ask a way, But three were we near Golden Bay. Never did I dare to ask her, Neither the dog with a common fur. Human built a machine came, Took her away; With me leaving anger and fame. For sometime I was around the globe, But then asking,"Was this my First Love?". Sukanta Kr Swain Computer Science Student Assam University,Silchar. India.
