There's movies for that Watched Lord of the rings, all three movies at a go. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!
^ extended version brotha? runtime of 8+ hours if i am not mistaken ... wow you've got good stamina .. the best bit about LOTR is the way tolkein drags even the smallest of incidents .. like frodo is going to sleep that would take 4 pages .. sam is cooking connies .. 3 pages .. aragon is giving introduction ...3 lines .. "aragon: i am aragon, son of arathon Sam: we know him as strider, we met him at prancing pony! aragon: yes i am aragon, son of arathon, son of aradud, son of arabarf, elessar the elvenstone and the heir of isildur, leader of the fellowship from moira onwards " you should read the trilogy if you havent done that already ... the birth of fantasy genre!
^I dunno mate. Now that i've watched the movies i dont know how i'll feel reading the books. See, i think you either have to read the books or watch the movie cause doing both will instantly open up discrepancies (In the movie of course, cause the book came first) and leaves you with that void. Happened with Hairy Porter, dont watch the movies no more.
Yeah but you said you saw Finding Neverland? No Jack Sparrow there. The actor's name is Johnny Depp though : :nw:
^Wizzy You donno nothin' man .. This phenomena is known as "Pyaar ke side effects" to samjha kar be ..
i watched that and secret window back to back.. secret window is ok (6/10) but i loved johnny depp in it (quite obviously)
on the other hand .. 90% of the time, the movies fail to reproduce the exact 'feel' of the story ..and the 3-ish hour time constraint means missing details and lack of depth .. LOTR movie has been lucky, but still, doesnt do justice to tolkein and his masterpiece .. as for discrepencies, well you cant really go around that when making a movie out of a 2000 page novel its just a side effect ... that aside, its fun to watch the movie after having read the book, feels really nice to see physical representation of that imaginary character from the book ..
Dor. 9/10 dude. i wasnt to keen on watching it, im not exactly into nagesh's work, but my folks got home a copy of it and i sat through it. somehow it reminded me of shawshank redemption, but that doesnt take away from nagesh k's film. hmmm...i just wish there were more filmmakers like him. watch this one.
