It's sometimes difficult To float in the ocean of memories, As the past tends to follow you And the heart refuses to forget and move on. Glimpses from yesterday flash across your vision. Your memories cage you as if you're in prison. The past is a hound and to it you're bound And the heart refuses to forget and move on. The sun will soon rise and the morrow ain't far But darkness hasn't fled and still visible are the scars You touch them, they scream with pain, as your heart sobs And refuses to forget and move on. A tear falls and moist turns the ground. You wail, but it's eerie as you hear no sound. You search in your memories, but pain's all you found And your heart refuses to forget and move on. Move on's what it must, but move on's what it can't. It gets lost in time, and move ain't what it does. Move on's what it should to continue beatin' But the heart declines and stop a-tickin'. - Raj. P.S. Comments?
