which guitarist do you think has the most recognizable sound, where you hear it and can tell who it is? from picking style to scales used to effects to speed to riffs to anything else they do that sets them apart.
hey u've left out my fav guitarists: jimmy page - his trademark les paul '58 & '59 with typical distortion levels, his exquisite sounding tunings, his acoustic style, the unique zep-style music that he helped create and produce john petrucci - his unique sound effects, the heavy low-string riffing, the ultra-low 7-string riffing, the distorted ringing open strings, the terrific technique not to mention his damn fast shredding
@ prash... lol... I guess I'll never be able to cure myself of that one bad habit... nice to see you posting again, prash... @ jay... of course, if you know the e minor sound, you know hammet... but its not just that... his riffs and solos do have that unmistakeable kirk hammet touch.
Tom Morello. His solos are just too wierd. The effects he uses and the sounds he creates are awsome. He can do scrath on a guitar. Now thats amazing.
yeah i wanted to add a lot more to the list...but there were only ten options.. mods can u modify the poll?
well, i dint add 1 very imp. option in the poll..... thats ME! i can olways tell wen i'm playing...lol.
Hendrix  .. See how this poll has diverse taste.. 3 of us recognize Kirk hammet.. The rest think of it as their fav guitarist poll.
i don't think I think that way either. i pointed out page and petrucci and also gave the reasons why; its another matter they happen to be my most fav at the moment too - especially page - and i do get some general cues from their playing so that i can make out it's them - sometimes at least, if not always.
See Prash you are not in contention for the Rest of the field.. You are one of us.. He he.. Ps. Prash still Rocks
oh thank you so much! btw whatever's this small graphic beside my post count on the right that says i'm "on a distinguished road" and beside your post that says you "can only hope to improve"? pretty intriguing eh!
