i figured stage presence doesnt necessarily have to be on a live stage ...... even in a video .... it can pretty much show the kinda energy the guy projects .... i haven't been to too many live concerts ..... but i have footage of a few of the GNR concerts and i still think that guys something .... just like agnus young can be a real fireball on the stage .... the common thing among all the greats named here is that they all have an ability to take centerstage in a way not too many can ... Yeah i like the video of the memory remains a lot too .... i dissappear not too much .... though ... if we're taling videos .. i think the simplest , most rocking ideo has to be "smells like teen spirit" by nirvana ? but i think we should have a new thread for this one .... i havent seen many GnR live videos so I maybe wrong, but the few I have seen gave me an impression that Slash always gets into a sort of trance while playing and ur lucky if you even get to see his face during the performance. thats not stage presence. @ jayanth sorry didnt see ur reply to my question... neurosis? sounds cool. but the trance makes him worth watching.....i cannot emphasise on the tokyo tou less....especially the godfather theme....agreed that he doesnt move around half as much as say..young.but man he is a delight to watch.....yeah....u can almost never see his face..but the engima that creates makes more than enuf stage presence

i've seen numerous adams concerts .... atleast 7 including 2 in india .... he doesn't lip sync at all .... thats why there's a huge difference in the quality of the music .... but he's still just awesome ..... You get missed notes in riffs and a few mess ups but he still has a way with the crowd ..... I've always felt the eagles live performance is lip synced ... not so much for the vocals but the instruments .... it must be impossibly hard to get all that stuff exactly right every time .... you guys are in bands ... tell me ... isn't it harder to manage intricately arranged instruments and bring it off correctly every time than the vocals ? Or does it just become a part of the reportoire and comes off without a hitch like second nature ?? I saw them playing live once on a tv show and they didn't miss one note in the live version of hotel california ...???? i can't play smoke on water's intro 10 times without it going slightly off once ... n thats probably as easy as it gets in terms of guitar riffs ??
Dude.. i'm not talking about Rock/Metal bands.. They cant lip sync.. People will easily get to know.. Hotel Califoria is played by those Geniuses.. So they cant make a mistake..They made little mistakes in Hell Freezes over..
well in that case they do deserve a lot higher credit than they get as guitarists ..... i agree with the term GENIUSES ...... its an awesome awesome feat .. i dont have words ...... just can't comprehend what kinda talent AND work goes into just playing that ...... n they bloody composed the whole thing too ..... phew ..... hats off .... once again .... not that i didnt have enuf respect already .....
