I modded my TS7 recently, and thankfully the results came out much better than expected. I reduced value of two resistors on the outboard PCB, and the noise has come down considerably. Even in the Hot mode, the TS7 is now relatively quiet. I hardly use it in the Hot mode though.

I also changed the vale of the Capacitor on the main board to about 20 times more value. The result is a very warm and smooth output. However, the treble has been cut a lot because of that. Though picking dynamics are still present, its still not satisfactory. I am thinking of changing the cap value down to about 10 times the original and see if that regains the little trele that I want. Overall, a very smooth and warm sound, not at all for hard rock or metal, but perfect for my kind of music. Very satisfied here.

Congrats....TS7 is a very nice pedal...You can use it for Metal too if you use it as a Boost. Basically Tubescreamers are only Boost pedals. As a stand alone, it's pretty weak usually..
