Linux is the best os ......it's running almost in 75 % of american homes...it's graphics is also better.. games run smoother than windows....but d problem abut linux is it's ' instalation '..it's really complicated ...and if you do a mistake regarding drives and hd space in linux instalation..you will be in a fix...it will gulp the hd space immedietly...and to get back the space, the last option you have is ' FDISK '....tht's really sweating... :annoyed: :nw: wherese windows is very user friendly...you can do everything with it....everyone can handle it...tht's why it's been use by everyone..

Recent fixes have recommended usage of stronger algorithms like MD5, etc., But due to the large deployment of Unix machines, world-wide, its a very difficult task, requiring huge Logistics support. Check if your machine has the vulnerability. For me, Windows is the best because of the compatibility with games and programs. I don't need much security as I don't have to secret files on my PC.
those stupid tricks you can keep to yourself akkyy21 . all it would do is print some stupid crap message on your console. Such bugs won't go unnoticed

didn't work on my comp....i'm right now on Linux only...so i checked right away......it says 'command not found'........i'm sure it's some crappy message generated by linux haters... @Addy...U don't have to have secret files on ur comp to value security.....even ur internet banking demands considerable security which windows is nowhere close to offering.... come to think of it...i'm scared to go on net in Windows....cause within 5 minutes it catches some bug or trojan or somthing of the sort..... if u don't have any probs till now probably u don't know....,.....just try to keep the task manager open when surfing on net in windows and see how many spurious processes spawn and track ur activity ...when u go to many sites... I use windows only for games.....hehehe......that too will be over soon i guess

I've said it before and I will say it again. Windows can be just as secure as Linux, but it takes a lot more work to lock down a defualt Windows installation than it does for a default Linux install.
No idea bout LINUX, hated it since my school days. More used to windows.... The user friendlyness is more, dont give a damn if people pay.. i can get it free. Linux is damn slow when u get into the Xwindows, and kinda boring
