tht's right avril sucks in front of metallica.
i've heard most of her songs. she's ok.
metallica, well now im a little tired of them too esp after the big sell out's they had become n their last album.
ne ways they r still one of the better bands to cover n i play quite a few of their songs for my band.

as far as avril goes i liked a cover she has done of knockin on heavens door originally by bob dylan n covered ny guns n' roses n many others.
ofcourse im with u is a decent song too.

but i wonder if she has the same conviction in her voice as james hatfield n more importantly whether her guitarist can even stand next to kirk hammitt.

Yeah I saw the movie sometime back too. From the movie it seemed like Hetfield spent most time in therapy during the making of St.Anger, so am not sure how much he really contributed to it.
Also, I thought Kirk's treated pretty bad by Lars n James.James seems to be on a controlling trip most times. Since Newsted didn't seem the type to bend over to these guys, maybe it was that that didn't make it work.

The weirdest part of the movie was that they had decided to bring in this therapist guy to hang out with them. He was reallllly lame and kept saying things like "Now, do you really mean fcuk you when you say that James? Or is it just your inner self rebelling?" or some fcuk like that. They finally fired him when they grew tired of that - thank god!.
