The reason is quite incorrect for the assertion. Assuming that the reason is correct(i.e.-men are actually more intelligent on an average), you have to realize that what researches usually work with are averages which are more of an assimilation of past records. Even so, imagine that 160 be the minimum IQ required to become a scientist. Now assume that a man has an IQ of 180...so going by what neo said, there would be a woman with an IQ of 175. She would still be comfortably over the minimum mark and would qualify to be a scientist and judging by what the experts say, she would be a better scientist. Whether the assertion and the reason are actually true, I couldn't really care less.
Another reason being the lack of interest, among the women. Now dont give me cases in india. India will have a proper gender ratio, but in the future. Indians never had proper opportunity. I can tell you in the west, there are much less females who are interested in science.
ha ... so whatever we knew has now been proved ... LOL ok ... men might have more IQ ... but women certainly have more EQ ... and that is what is required to stay happy ....
true .. it is not just because of social conditioning ... it is because of evolution ... and hormones ... it is because the survival of fittest demanded that men become more adept with scicen/tech etc kinda thingy ... women more adept at perceptions ... intuitions ...
well so what if men have higher IQ's .. they havent made this world any better place to live in .. all i say is that they might have a slight edge over the female speices (if the scientists say so) .. otherwise they aint much better when it comes down to other factors. like last night i continue to salute the female species ...
