math courses in india

when do the students start learning about these topics at schools in india.

Transformations of graphs
Transformations of conic sections
Exopnents and Logarithms

transformation of graphs is generally taught to those preparing for JEE or some other entrance exam
transformation of conic section are fro under grad students
exponents and logarithm somewhere in class 10th

why though???

 

Because the other countries totally own us in maths.
No really, calculator papers are hard :/

ohhh juss askin cuz here in canada that stuff is taught in grade 12 in high school
so i was wonderin how it works in india

just have to work with the equations

^ Math here caters for all students, not just those who want to do it. So the more arbitrary topics are not included.

And it doesn't suck not to use calculators. It's what math is all about.

 

DUD NO OFFENCE BUT... if ne1 thinks maths sucks... he needs 2 prac more... its d bst sub available... in my class i m d king of indices and log as my frndz call me... prac mor and u'll fall in luv wid it... trust me... its almost btr than ***... :grin:
