Hey we've all been there - can't afford food because you bought some cd's or can't afford music so you stole it. I get it - not everyone can afford all that is guitar because it is a rather extravagant hobby. Or maybe your just not sure if you want to go all out and buy one (they are a bit pricey). Luckily you can still rock out to those songs that you just need to play at a higher pitch with a capo by making your own!

A quick word of warning - I have not extensively tested this design. It could be dangerous! It could damage your guitar. Remember - what you do to your guitar is your choice, not mine - and I am not responsible if you damage you guitar or yourself. I haven't had any problems with this design but that doesn't mean you won't.

This is really bad for your guitar.. please don try this... u could get a pluto capo for 300 odd bucks...(clip type) or u could get a band type of capo for lesser amounts.

This will only screw up ur guitar strings n fret board n u will endup spending more on correcting bends than if u had bought the capo itself. If u own a guitar dont tell me u cant afford a capo worth 200 bucks... cmon man be realistic... huh..!!!

well, sometimes what happens is you get a buzzing sound.......therefore i cover my pencil with rubber and then put it down (rubber as in your cycle tube rubber)......always works for me.....although i dont advice it as it aint good for the guitar......

Who has time to make such things at home, if it is easily available at any guitar shop, this is time waste and also risky.

The capo is available in mumbai for Rs. 350/-

i have a Capo for 100 Rs. Trust me its good. Try Reynolds (Mirza Ghalib st), Kokata Music Center (56 C Mirza Ghalib st, Opp VIP Hotel) or Braganza

i don't think i'll damage your guitar but it looks like an exceptionally shitty design. capos cost next to nothing, even a dunlop won't set you back a significant amount. besides, you might as well buy a good quality one and be done with it - it's not like you need to replace them all the time.
