Mad World/High and Dry Medley

Practice session recorded on a Macbook. This was our entry for western group song for our college's cultural fest.

Medley of a few songs including Mad World by Gary Jules and High and Dry by Radiohead.

I loved the mix. It sounds great! The singing and playing are hard to isolate but the whole idea has come off very well in my opinion. I didn't know some of the songs though.


edit: vocals sound great too. did you win?

 

Glad you liked it! I recorded this through my Macbook mic, in a lecture hall. We were ~6ft away from the mic. So yeah, there is no mix. The songs were Gary Jules - Mad World, Radiohead - High and Dry, Black Keys - Tighten Up and The Offspring - Gone Away. I'm hoping to have a properly mixed recording up by end of July/August.

Sadly, on stage the sound guy had some of the vocals turned too far down which robbed the song of it's effect. So no, we didn't even place.

 

My bad...by mix, I meant the medley arrangement.

 

I liked it.. The vocals are good too..But shud have been more clear. I am sure in live it wud sound much better than the recording!!!!!
