mac help needed.

    i need some serious help...
    the speakers and the built in mic in my powerbook has suddenly stopped workin..
    i went to preferences and went to the audio section and there is absolutely no response from the inbuilt mic or the output volume..
    i went to the sound effects section and the output doesnt show my built in speakers..

    plz help..

    nah try reinstalling the sound drivers for ur mac. it must be in the backup folder or in ur motherboard cd!!!

    i looked arnd in the mac forums..it seems to be a core audio prob.

    what drivers.. mc os x = core audio.. u need no drivers..

    jared dude, try what i told ya.. i am feeling u messed up yoru hardware profile. creat new user with admin previlages.. and login as that new user to see if it works.

    if it was working yesterday, but not today.. only 2 things are possible,,

    u made some software installation.. or foolwed around with ahrdware profile...

    or u broke something..

    so try reverting back to a month before... or create a new user... to test my hypothesis.

    yup...

    the motherboard was screwed up..
    its a shame coz my powerbook was workin like a dream and suddenly this happens...this prob just happened out of the blue..
    but no probs coz the motherboard is gonna get replaced at no cost coz of the warranty..
    that way im lucky..
