I'm a really big LOTR fan. Can't wait for the third part of the movie.

But I prefer the books to the movie. Though, Peter Jackson did an amazing job of making the movie so well. :rule:

No... Around Christmas. All three movies were to be released just around christmas every successive year.

the fourth part is not a sequel but actually a prequel based on the book "the hobbit" which is the prequel to tlkien LOTR series.
