What was the last cd you bought? I bought Beck's Guerolito. A question to all the Mumbai users.. What shop do you buy cd's/tapes from? Please let me know as I buy them from Rhythm House at Kala Ghoda. I go there once every 2-3 weeks and doesn't seem to update much.
I go to Rhythm House too. It is by far the best in Mumbai..they have an excellent jazz and music DVD collection and they do update stuff reasonably often. The last CD I bought was Stan Getz in Paris.
Yeah they do have a good collection but I just wanna know what other shops are there and if they might have some stuff that Rythm House doesn't. I go to rhytm house as I work close by and if I'm bored I just pop in. Have to agree with the dvd collection though. But the prices don't suit my wallet
The only other OK shop around there is Planet M, but I refuse to buy anything there..the assistants are absolute idiots. A pity there is no Clyde's equivalent in Mumbai..Delhiites will know what i mean
I bought the Lost season 1 DVD set... music related....dont remember...I prefer to download  and the stuff Im loking for in not available
Clyde's used to sell every underground metal band I'd ever heard of, shred guitar and some jazz albums for a 100 bucks back before the days the internet became big.
lots of stuff Tool-Lateralus, Opeth-Lamentations (DVD), Nile--any from their old stuff Testament-The Ritual; KISS-Psycho Circus; Soundgarden--superunknown and many more
abhijitnath: 100 bucks? What da..! He made his own cd's or something? wizard: I don't know about the rest but Lateralus should be available. Suprising it isn't. I own it on tape bcoz when I bought it I hadn't heard much of Tool and 125 bucks seemed alot better than paying 500! ..and what can I say. I loved it. I love the tape as I can atleast play it in my car!
LMAO :RollLol: @vishalj...man Ive been trying to locate lateralus cd since ages now. Its there in their catalogue but not in stock...damn sad
He made tapes. This was around 1997-2000. He used to get CDs from Thailand, write them to tape, photograph the CD cover , shrink it and put it inside the tape box. And if you walked past his shop, you wouldn't even know he sold music. It used to sell rock T-shirts, football jerseys etc. YOu had to know that he sold music. Whereupon you were escorted inside the changing room, the full length mirror inside was pushed aside and the rack of tapes was revealed. And Lateralus was released on HMV..they no longer have the Virgin licence. I saw an Aenima CD that day though...560 bucks!! Way too much.
Piracy at its best! I'm guessing Virgin music is coming to India or something or they would have renewed their license but if I'm not mistaken I did see the Lateralus cd at Rhytm House. It could have been some other Tool cd (I was suprised to see it nonetheless) Wizard, if you really want it, online is your best bet or a friend who lives abroad.
What piracy? None of the stuff was available in India at the time..and you couldn't download it either. Most of it still isn't available..when was the last time you saw a Limbonic Art CD in your neighbourhood store?
Well it is piracy, whether or not anybody heard of it or not. Limbonic Art! Haven't even heard of them!!
