Okay, I was playing this song, and its fairly easy to play, but the problem is that it only uses 3 chords and it sounds okay but I was wondering how to make it more interesting.

    I am using
    Kismat ka khel hai sara
    Cmaj......................
    Phirta tha mein aawara
    Am......................
    Yeh kya se kya hogaya
    Cmaj...................... G

And this same pattern goes on for the whole song with no changes what so ever. I think there are quiet a few places where we can spice it up a bit but I can't figure out where to make th changes. Was wondering if any of you guys play it differently or add something else in to make it sound better. Any help would be appreciated.

    very interesting thread.

    i also play these chords only - C Am C G.
but i play the chorus a bit differently.
    here it goes -

    ------C-Am-------------
    kya hua jo laree choote
    C------Am-----------
    jeevan ki gadi looti
    C----------Am---------------G-
khwaab hai to mujhko naa jaaga
    -----C--Am---------------
    zindegi ek pal main saali
    C--------Am----------
    yun palat gayi hamari
    ------<<-no-chords->>-------
jhoot hai to mujhko naa bata

also try F or G in place of Am.

also try to change the strumming patterns here and there.
i think that will make it a be intersesting.

    cheers
    rohan.

thanks rohan, thats exactly something like I was looking for. I changed the strumming pattern for the kya hua jo laree ****ee and onwards and it sounds much better now. Just needed some minor variations to make it sound better. Thanks
