Mrityughonta bajche ami sunte pachhi,
Ritu bodle jachhe ami bodle jachhi.

Ami ar cholte parchi na suruo korte parchina,
Sob sesh sudhu sunyo hridoy.

Ami ahoto soinik tobu lorai thambena,
Sob sesh amay poth dakhao
nahole amay phele rekhe jao.

Mrityughonta bajche oder bolo ami nirbhoy,
kono poth amar jana nei jar sesh ache.

Oi okhane kichu dure ke jano dakche,
amay bolche tumi ke mone ache?

Tumi jodi here jao tomar sahosh o pichu nebe tar
Aj rate jago lorai koro.

Aro akbar sopno dakho,
Aro akbar swadhin hao.

The city of Joy,
The city of sorrow
Driving down the memory lane
Wide and narrow
Those walks through the wood,
About which I still brood
Those red uniforms with red ribbons
The ice-cream parlours which sold 'bon-bon's
The penalty for not doing homework
The hooting owls accompanied with dog's bark
I remember it all
Some vague, some vivid
All this reminds me of home
Which I left when directed by a call
Call from CHC
They said we could come,
Canada has everything
But no feeling of home!!
I wish I had a chance
Chance to return,
To my Home!

In a world where everyone’s trying to be perfect
Everyone’s in a race with time and themselves
I sit a corner all by myself
Looking at their face
Wondering what they are?
People or mechanical dolls operated with bows and lace!
Is that the definition of ‘perfect’?

Doing the same thing day and night
Walking the same road every fortnight
I ask myself, ‘what do these achieve?’
And I hear an echo whispering to me
This says, ‘nothing’!
The image is translucent
And it still makes me wonder
What on earth is ‘perfect’?

I’m in my own little world
Where people follow their hearts
And are not lead by stereotypical thoughts
The ambition here is to do something mutant
To live the dreams of our choice
To make others hear our voice

Having different thoughts makes me ‘weird’ and ‘unwanted’
In the world of ‘perfect’
But I’m much loved and adored
In a world where the ambition is:
