    Hey.. Im kinda lost on recording on a computer vocals/guitar.. (accoustic)
    I dont know where to start from at all. complete newbie to this.. I'm willing to spend some big bux.. if the stuff is worth it.. I duno anything about recording.. on computers.. so any tips/suggestions will be highly appreciated! thank u!

    hey buddy first off all u gotta buy a interfacee if ( u r using a desktop computer) i currently use creative audigy 4 proffessional u can use a mic u can plug ur guitar in this interface u can plug ur electric keyboard in it and many other things it works with ASIO its great for recording and it costs about 250 bucks not bad for the quality if u have plugged ur mic in (line in 2 ) u have to buy a preamp to plug ur guitar in (line in 3 ) coz line in 3 does,n have the preamp in it hope this will help u and about the recording software i use mixcraft kinda cool if u need it u dont have to buy it which is going to cost u about 48 usd just ask me i will send it to u okkkkkkkkkkkk i hope this is helpfull goood luck

    Get a Shure SM57 Mic and a mic-preamp (audio interface). Plug it in your usb and start recording in your favorite sequencer. I personally have a EMu 1616 PCI card with 2 mic-preamps and record in Ableton Live 7

    Audio interface is different hardware and a preamp is a different hardware SOME audio hardware do come with a preamp already in it but preamp is a different hardware some preamp r designed to provide phanthom power (48v) for professional micc,s and some preamps just give u the gain control dont mislead this poor kid

    get urself a low latency sound card,a good preamp. maybe a direct injection box,
    and a good quality microphone , and of course gud software.
