Hello to all. I'm a classical guitar newbie, attending Saddleback College Music dept., Mission Viejo, ca, US. 1 year picking, strumming, some warm emotional songs. I'm in 1st year classical guitar, doing "Romanza" (Haunting), & Malaguena (everybody heard that one). I visited Yogoda Satsanga Society's (YSS) ashrams in Northen India this year. YSS is Sister Organization of Paramansa Yogananda's Self Realization Fellowship (SRF) here in California, US. Although I study classical & flamenco, my heart is in the Kirtan (Spiritual Chant) music. I suppose I need to start with the Bar chords & go from there? All suggestions welcome as to how to begin with Kirtan music. I hope that the Bar chords are applicable to the Sitar also. Joseph
