What is there to get surprised? Similarly, most of the d00ds who play along with Pop stars also have equal (if not better) caliber than rock artists. I always expected this from him.
There's only one Song by Slipknot which has a solo !!!! and that too was some kind of melody !! and he' "WAS " considered as an great rhythmist , a Kurt Cobain in a sense

I think their album "Mate Feed Kill Repeat" isnt THAT bad. I mean a lot of those songs are tolerable. The rest of the stuff: Does anybody really want to talk about it?
dunoo I hate Nu-Metal !!!!!!! but never thought a nu-metal guitarist could do that type of shredding !!
But their first album was like Obituary trying to go hardcore or something. It was like a mix of straight up (not so fast) Dm and hardcore.
