Is Squire Affinity a good buy ??( for an entry level guitarist )

    elo Forumites..,

    Am an entry level guitarist ( not exactly a beginner.. ;) )....& am plannin to buy an Electric guitar...
    Just saw a Fender Squire Affinity today for Rs. 12000/- ( Chinese make)....the tone was awesome.
    The other guitar that caught my attention was Ibanez GRX170 costing abt 13000/- bucks.
    Any suggestions on which guitar should i go for??
    ( Heard that Ibanez is a good guitar for Metal & heavy stuff..while Fender is more suited for traditional stuff..correct me if i am wrong... :confused:

    rush in ur suggestions, advice & reviews.

    i just tried out the squier yesterday at furtados while i was waiting for fr - he was stuck in traffic...

    it sucked - somehow one of the ianez gio models were really good - it was the one with the mahogany wood body. the krmaer striker was also decent.. check them out

    pls. move this thread to guitar gear talk.

    i got an ibanez grg ---but have tried grx too ---not much of a difference (except the float (floyd rose type)) bridge-----trust ibanez to make the best and affordable guitars ---ibanez rocks ---just go ahead buy it ;)
