I know people would not appriceate this sort of thread here..... But if not from they will get it from others.... Metallica sued Napster... But there are so many others still remaining.... And IRC which was used my all brains to exchange ideas has now turned into a file swapping place...... The IRC long lovers r totally pissed with this...... They say its a bad development...... For Warez users its become a boon....... They can now get things without slowing down their systems with the crappy virus file sharing softwares have... I am sorry i have shamelessly used IRC to do it....... What are your comments.......
hey there isint any harm with using IRC even though it is used for file transfer !! that shows the versility of IRC !! IRC has grown to be a multi purpose client now. it no longer is just a chat client. and btw it isnt as easy as in Kazaa or other p2p to search and dload file u need to know the proper method and settings to use IRC as a efficient file tranfer tool. I agree with you..... and i use IRC but said its sad to see piracy getting everywhere...... Though i am a part of it i HATE it....... The record companies cheat us..... Its not the BAND ....... finally the BAND has to pay the price for PIRACY...... It sucks......
i totally agree with u !! the cost of a cd is about 12-20$ and can u guess how much does the artist get from it ??? ( its a mere 1.50 $) that's pathetic... if the record companies would stop taking such a large commision the price would be cheaper and then we could all afford to buy cd's and avoid downloadin!! i know i would for sure !!

yeah that wat nowdays experienced bands are doing, if im not wrong bon jovi, aerosmith, megadeth are managing themselves ... i think the power to revolt against the recored companies comes with few albums under ur belt and with a no-nonsense attitude about profit

Hey guys i got this new stoftware Ares galaxy ... sounds good ... try it out ... No spyware .. and pretty fast .. and can find some amount of files .... Not as much as emule though ...
abay nanda ... this is a news to me ,,, i never knew that IRC was being used in this manner :shock: anyway regarding the recording companies n middle men thing ... they are just agents demanding their cut ... anyway recording n promotion of album is not so cheap .. thats y these recording companies deamns so high ... but agreed there is a kinda oligopoly there ... n so all the record labels chanrge extremely high fees from the artists ... too bad ...
