Hi Folks, I was not into guitar playing, till I hear Joe Satriai's Always with u... acoustic version.And Until I saw Satriani's Concert in Bangalore. This song has prompt me to pick guitar.I have purchased a GB&A Acoustic guitar for 5k.Quality (finishing + sound) is as good as a Yamaha for 10K.Other beginners pls note. My plan is to practice on acoustic for few more months, But I am reading lot abt electric guitars.from web and from books (like - Ralph Denyer) really helpful. This Group has helped me a lot with songs tabs. Can anyone help me with following Qn's. 1.What is the diff between a 12K Ibanez and a Ibanez JS100 which costs around 75K in India.Do the 12k cost Guitar Also Uses Maple wood base.Or does its circuitary differs remarkably. 2.In 12k budget (only for guitar and not amp etc) which is the best guitar among Ibanez / Fender / Yamaha..or any other that can help me in playing satriani songs (ofcourse, 1 yr down the line) Thanks and Regards vipin_slashBangalore
for playing satriani, u need low action guitars and high speed fingers ... lol anyway Q1: the diff in price comes from the diff in wood used, the electronics, the overall raw material used, and obviously the quality of workmanship.... (most ibanez use alder wood for the body and maple for the top/neck) Q2: u cant get a decent fender for 12k .... ibanez and yamaha are good .. but depends which ones are you lookin at .. i think ibanez are pretty cool for this budget.
