Pop does mean popular..., thats how billboard gets it pop singles countdown. which is why nevermind was the "crossover" album for nirvana,and come one over was the crossover album for shania twain (country to pop). Come as u r ruled the pop charts for a while.. with nirvana getting airplay sandwiched between madonna and the likes.. scroll up and see what i wrote last time.. today in usa hip hop and rap is pop.. what about RATM or Soundgarden for that matter? whats that got to do with Audioslave being too pop?
im into heavy metal since i was 4-5 years old..thanks to my uncles being in a metal band...but i must also thank them for having a wide taste in music which ranged in pop,blues,funk,jazz,country ... so i got to listen to good quality music from an early age.. just dont stick ur self to one genere...music s all about explorin... listen to everythin..and let your ears decide what u think is good. as i said earlier.. everything is subjective.
@dharma....i have listen to other kinda music...they r nice..but aint my all time favs...if u woke up at middle of the night and put on creeping death u'll see me head banging...i havent seen or heard anything in music which will turn u wild and really jamming in secs...such is a power of rock...but britney, jlo and indian pop sux and they dont deserve to be so popular and famous. i pity on ppl to listen to them watever it is i appreciate ur opinion ....i cant call them as pop music or else jayswami will jump on by back again and will say wat pop really is...:....just kidding jayswami.

indian music is now only based upon remixs from old songs........no new songs are made ther a hardly a sign of rock music at national or international level
they r not even remixes.. indians dj's dont have talent to remix.. they just make cheap covers and call them remixes. Jay
