hey paki rock not only got Junoon n jal but they hav others band like E.P ,NOORI,MIZRAAB,CALL at national level besides the underground band n there r hundreds of underground bands
i remember i used to go to the zamzama and clifton side in karachi and everyday the cafe's and clubs used to have these highly talented underground bands gigging....some of them were really mind blowing..and not to forget E.P and messiah were underground bands once and so are ganda banda and 3d catz!
well if we talk abt. underground bands in pak. there r so many bands in Lahore n karachi everone playin guitar....from within few yrs
At JAZZ in my wholw time of living in the USA i have never even heard of Junoon. Ive been watching MTV, SIRIus, Vh1, MTV2, FUSE, BBC ROCK, and some other rock chanells for almost 5 years and i never heard of Junoon. They are for sure not Internationally famous or they would be mentioned along with Aerosmith, Satriani and Velvet Revolver and others...
havent u seen the program on islamic terrorism the rockstar and the mullah... on BBC? this mullah form peshawar put a fatwah on junoon.. and i think that documentary showed the junoon guitarist going and confronting him.. that documentary showed pakistan in a good light.. when the general trend around the world was to depict it as a hardcore terrorist nation.. after that doc was aired, junoon got some air time on US cable channels.. and whats his name that junoon guitarist.. he was featured in bill maher's show.. real time with bill maher along with gene simmons of kiss.. who is a hardcore anti palestine israeli. it was a fun show.. especially since the junoon guitarist happened to be a kiss fan :
Mr. We r comparing the indian rock with paki rock we r NOT comparing paki rock with American rock Junoon is internationally famous but doesnot mean that it gatta b played by american music channels Junoon is international band Bcuz it has over 1000 concerts world wide they have jammed with Mic Jagger in 1995 n Rod stewert (Sting) they had a concert in UN building .......... it is only band who has done concert in that building after Rolling stones they were awarded best international band in 1998 by Channel V india they performed at BBC music awards in 2002 (LONDON) besides other events.... well if u have any doubts go to their website https://www.junoon.com
well paki rock is seen at our national channels IM ,ARY MUSIK, ARY (England) , PTV world n other channel i must accept thet Pak has got limited Media But india has got Powerful Media.......we see Loaodz of indian music channel B4u , star tv ,Mtv india , V india , Etc ,and others BUT belive me ive never seen any Rock band on these indian channels even indian channels arent so mature that they r not played by their own channels they are always playin Remixes ,film songs .... one can hardly fine rock on these channels
Atif really sux but Ali Azmat (junoon vocalist) doesnt ive been to his concerts live.....ive never seen ny vocalist doing live...like him hes got very pwerful voice...and hes the one of those who started the cocept of live concert in PAK.... Listen to his Albums PARVAAZ , AZADI.... Although Hes Voice distorted now.....after singing more than 18 yrs
well can any body tell me wut india hav got in its rock ? i ve never seen any rock on the channels....
you've ever seen metallica or iron maiden or velvet revolver on indian music channels ? they are'nt great bands either ?
