if u look at indian cinema its pretty obvious that its run like a family business - u have 3-4 generations of so-called actors/actresses & they r there only cos of their family connections.... bcos of this indian movies never make it big in th world cinema... nver win oscars tht even countries like argentina/brazil etc win of cos it wud have been th same wit music xcept 4 th fact tht u can pretend to act but u cant pretend to sing..... now lots of singers hav got a chance bcos of indian idol - how abt an 'indian idol' 4 actors/actresses? it wud giv newcomers without ne "family connections" a gud chance to get into indian cinema now if enough ppl wanna a show th tv channels wil create it 4 their TRP...so whether u r in india/pak/us/uk etc... how abt writin to tv channels demanding an 'indian idol for actors/actresses'??? thes r the contacts for sony - they dont have email :annoyed: but u can send snailmail or call or fax - jus say " i love indian cinema & i want an indian idol show for actors/actresses.." ... with sufficient requests it wil work.. u can improve th quality of movies - mebbe even help indian movies win an oscar!!!!!! there was a show called "Cinestars ki khoj" aired on Zee TV sometime in late 2004. It continued till Jan 2005. The winners were promised to be hired by some major producers in bollywood but in a recent interview they said that after more than a year the offers they have got are just some cheap roles in B/C grade movies. The finalists who did not win, were more sucessful than the winners. One of them was recently featured in the Kailash Kher's new video "Teri Deewani" one. The girl with the green dupatta near Char Minar....she was one of the finalists who was kicked out in the last round. A few have managed to get decent roles in some TV serials also.

jus bcos one attempt flopped doesnt mean give up ... newayz sony's production value is better than zee.....its a good concept ...wil work..... the only ones who r against it r the "family businesses" who r tryin 2 control evrything... but they cant force their stupidity on 1 billion ppl 4ever ya sure.. but dont make mindless movies non stop either.... i mean 50 fscking years of rich boy-poor girl, boy meets girl, girl meets boy, shaadi, dil vil, love triangle, love rectangle... WTF??? 40-50 yr old guyz actin like teenagers? indians aint THAT stupid! welll ther r thousands of models who ve becom old waiting for that day...
^^ there are a lot of good movies also .. and the hollywood movies too have their share of masala crap .. most of us see the movies which are hits over there .. and its not like the "families" wont let any outsider in .. there are plenty of newcomers always .. otherwise what do u want .. a fcking All India Entrance Exam for Bollywood .. im sure coaching institutes will sprout up even for that .. no dearth of suckers in india
ya sure hollywood has crap ... but wht they dont have is the kids of tom cruise /sean connery/ingrid bergman etc etc struttin abt the place just cos their mom & pop wuz there n ya dont need entrance exams.. . cos the coaching instis r already ther.... LOTS of em... haha

Now why would you want that? Another crappy show that the masses will waste 6 bucks messaging for their favourite. Indian Idol... nobody even cares who won the first and nobody will care about whoever that wins the 6th. If a film would just win an Oscar based on acting alone then India would win most of the time but thankfully its not. The story has to be good as well which sadly isn't the case with Indian films right now. Its the same old ghissa pissa story.
