please suggest something else i could listen to....Pop, alt, jazz, blues whatever...

 

try some jazz.. listen to frank gambale, guthrie govan, shawn lane, larry carlton.. great great musicians..

 

I have to suggest Tribal Tech too. Quite excellent.

Seriously listen to 'Take that' ....its the most awesome pop band today....they used to be a boy band back when robbie williams was with the group...they're a man band now..

Spoon is an alright band falling within the indie rock genre.

 

Or listen to some folk music - Indian, african, whatever.

Please break out of "western" music rut.

 

dude u should seriously listen to PUNK rock. it's excellent. Sum 41, greenday, the offspring- this bands are great. specially Sum 41. hear their song i'm sure u will love it.

Try some indian classical music as well. Man those ragas are some shit. I am in love with how they sing Kurukshetra shlokas. Its in E. Perfect metal!

 

Listen to Eric Serra's compositions. Particularly the Leon movie soundtrack. David Gray and Ben harper are two others i recommend. Toad the Wet sprocket deserves a listen as well.
