IGTs Status

I've been lurking around these forums for a long time now, and have got used to the yearly purging, and the ensuing protest and walkouts that occur. Then of course, the banned members start their own forum (remember guitarmanna, the underground, bindaas IGTians etc) which is mildly successful.. But in the end, everything settles down after a month or so. Most of the ppl just return with alteregos... Hopefully, things will settle down again this time.

However, one thing has been annoying me for a while, it seems IGT has been sold! Literally! This is a 1st (I think)

So, can anyone please clarify what really hapenned? Who owns IGT now? Why was it sold? And, what (if any) plans do the new owners have?
