^^its not abt being an MBA..
i can do an MBA from a tuchcha institute also..but u cannot compare that with an IAS..
what can be equivalent to IAS is IIM ....
so its not Collector vs MBA..

its the same topic..and so far ive got only dennis.es reply...

    hmm.
some individual choice also involved here...i like authority in my hands..
and being an IAS wld offer that to me..with using those for the betterment off the country..it also gives u a due position in the society...with a lot of facilities...

like free ka phone(sarkaari)...free ki gaadi(petrol bacha)..and many more..

the main attraction in being an IAS is the amt of powers u have....

dunno how many of u will agree with my point of view...

    You Are Talking About Power?
The Power Is With The Politicians

power is no doubt with politicians..
but an IAS still has more authority compared to the non-politicians...
he just bows to netas..thats it.

ias guys have powers in states like UP, the eastern states etc. where there are feudalistic fundaas. ..wont work here.
    MBA grads are powerful everywhere.
And IIM isnt the best around...u got the Whartons, Sloans and Harvards too you know.
Say u are from Wharton, everyone wil know that...say u are an IAS officer...only people in India will know that.

@The Wizard: dude u from ISB??
