I witnessed something today that just depressed the heck out of me. As you who have gotten to know me are aware, I am a school bus driver. I'm driving summer kindergarten right now. I'm not allowed to go into details ,privacy laws and all, but today I had the misfortune to whitness very deeply ingrained predjudace in a 5 year old. Sad.......sad...so sad.

I Thought Races Were for Fun

    You are a Brother
    And a Sister
    In the colors of Life
    Some people believe
    They are races
    Human races
    Whatever that may be
    Races are for running
    The competitive edge
    Distrust and confusion
    Leaving alterations
    In innocent little faces
    We are natural Life
A part of Mother Earth's design
    A blending of colors
    To make the difference
    In the teaching
    of meanings
    We are colors
    in the family
    of Life
