Wow, what is wrong with people nowadays? Do they even think before they open their mouths or stupidity just comes naturally to everyone. As Pakistan was a part of India, i demand Pak have reservations for us!
But then PoK is something that Indians have always claimed to be their land even now. You buy/check any map made in India. All countries except India show PoK as part of Pak. If India truly feels that they are Indians, then they should be given representation in educational institutes. Anyway the situation in Pok is not good economically.
Claims are not reality, you can claim anything but that does not make it true. The fact remains POK is with Pak the residents there pay taxes to Pak not to India they Hold Pakistani citizenship etc If they are so eager to study here, let them pay taxes to Indian government first. You can check any maps that are not made in India you will see POK is show as part of Pak.

if POK is part of india, then it should be treated same as any other indian state. no state in india has a certain number of seats reserved for its students in iits and iims. why cant the Gilgitistanis qualify like everyone else?

Errmm, are you referring by any chance to OBC/SC/STs? The flaw with your argument is that there is no "everyone else" in India. It is an extremely heteogenous country with even more narrow minded individuals who want to remain that way. And the best thing is that being hetero, every "clan" wants a govt provided space for themselves. (take the case of Reservation)
