hi! i m manoj .this is my first post ........................ Now i m learning scales in guitar but m totally confused how can i make out that the song i m listening to is played in which scale ................................ i know its fishy but can anyone can help me out ..............?????????
^^I AGREE:beer: @manoj all guitars are standard tuned(EADGBe) wt i do is i listen to the song and play the guitar at the same time. and then work on the song>
kool way out kool way out but i have seen many of the musicans just the listen to song oncs ...just few line and r able to tell the scale correctly is it a god gift or something????? lol
if its a happy song its prolly major scale, if its sad its mostly minor then just play a scale along with the song - if it sounds off try the next scale - shd get it in 2-3 tries gotta watch out for alternative tunings tht sum musicians use tho - eg GnR LedZep etc - u shd be able to guess these bcos they tend to sound a bit 'different' yes its called 'ears' hehe but seriously its just how much u sincerely practise thats all BTW theres tons of stuff on this topic on this site so knock urself out

wel at first hear d song carefully & numerous no of times.den try 2 accompany d song by playin d scales on it.at first it ll take sum time 2 guess d correct scale bt den eventualy itll b pretty easy.dis is d rite technique 2 follow in terms of findin d correct scale. cya
