I have attended a workshop on STRESS MANAGEMENT...
Where they teach holistic hypnotism.. sort of self-hypnotism.. to pacify your subconscious
mind and make him learn to accept things....

Sort of self-taming and more positive thinking...
Also, useful to have peaceful sleep....

Very nice techniques... but i dont know regarding hypnotism done by some third person...

I can very well self-hypnotise myself and get in the dream land of my choice...and have a peaceful sleep!

Yeah,.. had a instructor in Gym who did this to another instructor, and then he was lame enuff not to be able to bring him back to normal, and the victim instructor was all screwed. He wasnt able to even talk for another one hour, he came back to normal only when he slept that evening for like 2 hrs. So, i guess it does really work, though the person on the recieving end needs to be a believer.

Wow zoom.,... uv got a saxy power man!! :p.,... hehe if i had sumthin like that i could have always been in Hawain Baywatch team in my dreams man!!!!

My aunty using self-hypnotism, undergone an operation without taking local anesthesia...
Its just the technique to control your subconscious mind....

They call it 'Programming your Brain'... So that way... my aunty programmed her brain that her operative part has no sensation... and carried out the operation without anesthesia!
And it really worked... she didnt feel any pain....

Similarly... for stress, its quite useful, as it gives peaceful sleep, calm mind & confidence...
By peaceful sleep means.... not just sleeping somehow... but getting that natural sleep with lesser or absolutely no thoughts...
Dreams are generally the visual projection of wat our subconscious mind thinks...
So, the more you control your subconscious...the lesser useless thoughts.. and more positive thinking!
You can feel more confident.... by programming your brain regarding the situation you are fearing into...
Suming up all.... self-hypnotism allows you to control STRESS... and improve your way of life...

Well, lots of positive effects... but i guess, it can be used for the other side too...

how far away is hypnotism from "(other's) thought reading" and "mind power (bending spoons and other Uri Geller stuff)"... i mean if hypnotism is real and possible, then what about these.

does any one know books or any other source of info about hypnotism and these 2 other phenomenon? Doc what do you have to say?
