Which is the best position to put in a Humbucker or the single coil sized H's for rock, in A strat?

What do you want the bucker for? The bridge and neck positions will give you different sounds - more treble on the bridge. It's generally there... but there are no rules for these things.

laney, r u insane? My new Fender does not need mods. I got it specially modded through their custom shop. The total cost was $3000. I am talking about my old California series strat. I use it for gigs and the new one for studio recording( yeah, I have ensnared the ex-seether drummer Kevin Soffera, in my terrible net of illusion for a side project).

Bridge I would think. And going for a pseudo humbuckers like the SD quarter pounder single coil series is the best option I think, that way you don't have to mess with the body.
