Hey, Some of you will feel it a stupid Ques. But I am really confued in major and minor scales.....How you guys know that the song is in major or minor scale. Explain in detail please. :nw:
really difficult to explain ... coz even i dont know ... anyway a minor scale always has a relative major scale and vice versa ... like A minor = C major ... but yeah there are certain traditional approach to music which means playing 1st, 4th, and 5th chords of a major scale ... like C, F, G ... that makes the music in the scale of C major ... however using he same scale if i play the chords Am, Em, Bm (sometimes B7) ... it is said to be in A minor scale ... guess it has more to do with how the progresion sounds ... major is happy and bright, minor is sorrowful and dark ...
Attached image lists all the keys and their corresponding chords. I still need to find out whether one has to cram this chart or is there any easy way to find keys.
I realised that and hence was writting a full tutorial on "Chords in Key of 'X'" for last 3 hours. Post has been submitted in the "Lessons, Tutorials and Tips" forum.
