    pnainani03 Request and I'll tab

I have noticed that a lot of new guitarists don't know how to read tabs, although I am a newb myself I though this would help:

    How to read tabs:
The 6 lines on a tab represent the 6 strings, the string is the E string, the second string is the B string, the third string is the G string () the fourth one is the D string, the fifth one is the A string and finally the bottom (sixth) string is the E string (x octaves lower than the top string though).

But when played OPEN (just play it wihtout pressing anywhere on the string) only do you get those specific notes for each string (See Fig.1). If there is a number one (See Fig.2)on the B string, you press the first tab on that string (which plays the note C), if there is a number two (See Fig.3) on the B stiring, you press the second tab (which playes the note C sharp I believe) - if you press 3 it plays a D and so on.

    Figure 1. (This tab plays the notes E, B, G, D, A and E respective to
    each string)
    E-0---------------------------------------------------------------
    B----0------------------------------------------------------------
    G-------0---------------------------------------------------------
    D----------0------------------------------------------------------
    A-------------0---------------------------------------------------
    E----------------0------------------------------------------------

Figure 2. (This tab plays the note C)
    E----------------------------------------------------------------
    B--1--------------------------------------------------------------
    G----------------------------------------------------------------
    D----------------------------------------------------------------
    A----------------------------------------------------------------
    E----------------------------------------------------------------

Figure 3. (This tab plays the note C Sharp I believe)
    E----------------------------------------------------------------
    B--2--------------------------------------------------------------
    G----------------------------------------------------------------
    D----------------------------------------------------------------
    A----------------------------------------------------------------
    E----------------------------------------------------------------

For further help, go to this website:

It shows you how to TAB a song as well.

    Hope that helped, enjoy.
