How to play these tabs?

Hi gurus,

Any idea how do I play such tabs?
Not a chord as the A string is muted. And again plucking not possible as the others are to be played together. yeh god log bajaate kaise hain yaar???

This shouldnt be difficult. Put your index(1st) finger on the 7th fret top E string. Then use your 2nd finger to mute the A string (x means mute) (also you want to hold down half way not all the way.) and then use your pinky finger to press on the 7th fret G string. Now strum it. If you strum slow it'll come out fine. now slide on up and your done! Have fun

 

hey a tiny doubt.. how dya actually mute a string wid a finger??

 

dun push it down ta a fret, coz u just have to stop it from vibrating.

 

yea and jus if u wanna know push it down half way. so u hear a thud noise.

well, that is the way u do it for this tab... there r other ways to mute the strings too, pushing down to the frets n muting wit the right hand..this gives a 'heavy' muted sound...

 

n juz how dya mute it wid da right hand?? :think:

 

thats called palm muting...put ur palm near the bridge n pick the bass E (for begining), adjust ur palm's posn until u get a thick, heavy sound not like the fuller sound u normally get...

yea on the strings, near the bridge...n u use that on powerchords mostly...

oh, u can actually mute JUZ da strings u wan usin yer PALM?? i mean, yer palm's kinda huge, rite? its possible?? :shock:

like, wat if ya wanna mute juz da 3rd n 4th strings?? dats in da middle.. u cant possibly use yer palm 4 dat, rite? wud affect da oder strings 2...

 

i told ya, we use it for powerchords...that involves playin 3-4 strings or less n r not just like ordinary chrds, n sometimes u even only play 1 string...
its like wot u can hear in those creed's songs.. the heavier riffs in their songs contain a lot of damping...

 

yea, i kno wat power chords r.. da thing is.. u said "used MOSTLY in power chords".. so i thot mebbe dis waz used in oder chords 2..

 

k... sry for confusing ya...but u'll come to know how differently u can use it after a lot of playin..sometimes u need to develop diff. techniques for a nu riff...
n neways powerchords can b in a way the same chords...if u look at the E shaped barre chords...they r just the upper 3 strings played...

 

Hey, what exactly are power chords? Are they necessarily on electric guitar? Any particular reason they are called power chords?

I tried few tutorials on the net, but couldn't get much out of it. Still searching in another window. Let's see if I can get any good ones.

Yo Powerchords are usually 2 - 3 string chords. I got some little lessons below i used.
