Hi guys, I am going away from home for a religious festival and won't be able to play guitar for atleast 10-15 days. I have only been playing guitar for about a month now so i am an absolute newbie and don't want to loose what the calluses and a little stretch and strength that i have built.

    Now I have 2 options.

    1. Just leave it, and hope that the calluses won't go away.
    2. Buy Planetwaves Verigrip hand exerciser. I have read the reviews about this product and they are pretty good. if any of you guys have any experience with this product please let me know.

PS: I would love to hear any more suggestions, tips and tricks.

Thank you so much in advance.

    Baqir,

I have been playing Guitar On and Off for around 2-3 years. You ill certainly lose calluses if you do not play for sometime. But I would suggest do not buy any such products. It is way too early in your playing career to create a dependency on some product. You should practice stretching exercises daily. Calluses will appear in 3-4 days of rigorous practice. Not to worry too much about it. Enjoy your time off. Your Guitar life has just started and the magic will remain for a long time :)
