At loud volume on stage amps, just keep doing a smooth vibrato. It will sustain and get into a controllable feedback. Another thing I do is to damped the strings and leave only one open string or two strings which make up a 4th or a 5th diad and keep my guitar volume to full. You will a feedback on that particular chord. This sounds more lush. Make sure the interval is a dissonant interval like 4th or 5th or unison or octave. Any other intervals will give you a dissonant feedback. I am not good at it but these are the only things I know to do. @Abhijit. Ronnie is not Bong but can speak Bong. But dont ask me now.
Correction:4th 5th octave etc are consonant intervals..I presume it was a typo. I shall meet you when I come to Bangalore next and chatter in Bong now
brother i think u r so so innocent, umhow prebend caN produce sustain watch or listen the live version of time by joe satriani or wath steve vai warming up before paying by just producinf wiered sound wid long sutains by prebending, anyways go listen the song riddle u ll certainly got something, anyways enjoy plaing
Prebend only raises a pitch without the sound of bending it. If you though prebending alone can give you sustain, then why dont you patent it. Maybe even Satriani will bow to you for your great technique.
and my surname is Banerjee.: y every one is upto dis sustain thingy...??: its a prcatical thing ,cant be explained here. ar ronnei da thanks go ami try kore dekhbo. tobe sure je cube 20m e feedback hobe na. :feedback er jonno ki ki effect lage? like gain full and compressor??
Full gain, hain..kintu more importantly amp volume bishon high.. aar Cube 20 diye hobe naa Translation for non-Bongs-Full, gain, high volume, impossible with Cube 20. And please write in Bong only on the Bong forum...lots of other people read this who might be interested in finding out about feedback and sustain.
Even on 10 cube the feedback will happen. I have always done it on a Marshall MG15CD. I am sure Stranger 20 Cube is much louder if not clearer. Dont worry.
