hey, my friend has an epiphone les paul, its an original one for 38 k. i would give some pics but their size is too big. any suggestions ? well anyways, my question was that the strings of the guitar are too high from the fretboard, but they can be adjusted right ? from the bridge, ? i wanna know how exactly, so he doesnt mess it up or something, should he do it from a luthier ? or what. . . . .. ..

No need of a luthier, just look at the bridge (NOT the tailpiece). There should be to posts, with a slot for a screw driver at the top, screw them down to lower the height of the strings.

There is also another kind of bridge where you have to slacken the strings, and under the bridge, on the posts there are 'thumbscrews' that you can adjust to your preference.
