Buddy, learn all the major and minor chords first. Don't worry, they are related to each other, so if you know how to hold one, you will also know how to hold others i.e. this F maj in barre form e..1 B..1 G..2 D..3 A..3 E..1 so F#Maj ud be half step ahead i.e. e..2 B..2 G..3 D..4 A..4 E..2 and so on When you feel comfortable with those, then only, try to learn chords like 7th 9th or add chords etc.
cumming soon chill bro all of us here at IGT wanna help people. You should check the chords in the songs u want to play and if u dont know the chords..learn em Aint too hard aite? About strumming pattern - bro i cudnt figure it out ..i told faraz to mail it to us.
Learn all Major and Minor chords at open positions on the guitar i.e within the first 5 frets. That's enough to play most of the songs. Don't bother about m7th or M7th chords as they are similar to the root chord and has an additional note which you could ignore. After completion of Major and Minor chords take Seventh chords as a lesson. I would suggest you learn according to theory even if you are playing just as your hobby, memorise the chord pattern but also understand why that chord has those 3 selected notes For ex: C chord notes would be C E G. You need to know why Ctriad has only C E G as the notes i.e because the traid formation for a major is 1 3 5 notes of the major scale. Barre chords not a must, it's hard to practice Barre chords initially so ignore them for now until you learn open chords on the guitar.
i recommend barre chord practice alot. There are alot of chords in which the barre chord is a must. It'll take time but its worth it.
