I had 1 month young job >> got money >> Got a frend (mikku, then i come to know tht he's my cousin) who plays guitar on a get together >> bought it on 25th sept 2004. and i m playing from then. 3 months (aug till nov) of bad break (i jus survived without guitar), caps gone .

I am regular frm then (with a couple of gaps of a week or so sometimes) :beer: . Want to take classes now.

I hv recorded a few mikku n will upload soon.

well... im 17 now, and i started playing guitar wen i ws about 8/9, so that means iv bin playin for about 8 years more or less... i think thats the longest outta ne1 on this thread so far...
i remember the early days, i started playin guitar cos my bro played it...
then i realised how much i hated it and how crap and hard it was... that took about 6 months of my time...
then i started gettin better and began to enjoy it...
then i started doin gradings...
then my brother stopped playin guitar, this was a low point, as i could no longer play duets with ne1 in my family
then i kinda gave up playin harmonium and tabla, so i cud play guitar more...
then i took up harmonium and tabla agen, returning to my roots...
and now i love everything i can play
that is the story of my life as a guitarist/ musician...

however, talent as they say is "at societies discretion".

in terms of practice:
wen i started, i played about 30 mins every other day.
then it picked up 2 about 30 mins a day...
generally speaking i aim to do about 30-60 mins a day.
in holidays, i can churn out up to 3 hours in a stretch, maybe about 5 in a day

 

More than 1.5 years.. Am never never never regular !

^nah... i aint doin ne of tht... i h8 recordin myself singin, lol... i only sing religious hymns aswell, lol.
i will maybe post more guitar and a lil bit of tabla (i kinda 4gotten most of wht i learnt after i gave it up so long ago)
