How do you listen to music?

How many over here listen to whole albums of music the way they're meant to be heard? and if you're one of them, what do you do throughout the duration of the album? i mean music is obviously less captivating than movies are so you can't just sit in one place for an hour so is there any particular thing you do (or can think of) to balance between paying attention to music while at the same time not getting bored?

and sometimes listening to the discography when doin nothing

i find browsing on the internet is quite distracting (if you start reading something the music just goes to the background) so if i'm not just solely listening to the music i'll either be walking/driving/working out or something.
otherwise i just get high and lay back :grin:

 

One thing I hate about Mp3 and CDs is that it is so easy to change the song.

Let me elaborate.
In the olden days of magnetic cassettes and LPs, you had to manually forward or rewind (some hi-tech ones allowed automatic based on silence between tracks).
This made the skipping of tracks difficult.

Which means you listened to the whole album.
Doesn't happen that way with the digital audio.

agreed, but i'm sure that should not come in the way of you and I enjoying the album as a whole. for the masses, of course, things change dramatically. although i will admit it saddens me at times knowing that some very good music out there doesn't get the lovin' it deserves

it's going great! i maxed that online test at about 94% though..
but i practice myself everyday to write some tunes that just pop into my head. so i've slowly started writing songs but they're coming out very bad.

i guess with 3-4 months of practice i'll be writing some presentable music to post here

 

you were supposed to send me some....since you haven't sent me any, I never bothered recording anything after that! I blame you for being mediocre at guitar.
