Hey ! Just introducing myself really . I'm a 14 year old girl and I've been learning the piano for 6 years now and I have a passion for music . I've started guitar classes and I've been learning it for the past one-and-a-half years now (so still a beginner) . I like listening to bengali bands (like Mohiner Ghoraguli , Fossils and Insomnia) and I like bands like Coldplay and Pink Floyd . I'm always up to date to Hindi music as well (duh !) . It's nice to see that so many people have a passion for INDIAN music and there's such a big forum on it . Really looking forward to contributing to it

@Avin - My guru forced me to 'finger pick exercise' for 3 months, trust me it was the most irritating phase, but later I learnt why he did that ... Slow and steady wins the race, not always though
I'm not THAT much of a beginner really ...... intermediate is more of the word ...... I suck at fingerpicking though :/
welcome! You began learning Piano when you were 8!!! Were you able to even reach the higher and lower scales at that age? Commendable. But kinda Strange ... ppl joined in 2010, and today everyone is suddenly active. Today I feel like I have entered a new forum altogther. [EDIT] Uh-oh,There goes off my plans for date
@Alpha - As admin, seeing people active is a nice feeling ... I know the strange feeling you are talking about .. I don't know how many of you are regular 'chat-with-stranger' person .. I used to be one chat-o-holic especially on Indiatimes, which was very very famous back then in 2000's. It used to be my second home, so many folks I knew when I'd enter the room, and the whole room would greet the moment known folks used to enter ... and 10 years from then, I logged in on IT, it was still the same .. lot of folks around there, all friends who know almost everything about each other, even if it was virtual ! And I felt left out .. Nostalgic feelings were deep rooted !! Dil Chahta Hain scene when Aamir looks at 3 college students when stuck in traffic, flashed my mind then

@Ashy - I too like the theme ... .. now just need to get some awesome cool logos. I actually like the previous logo, so may be I should get a variant of the same which fits the new design
