    Pls note that the song is actually on G. I play it on A (easier)... if u wanna play the actual scale, make the followin substitutions:

    A --> G
    E --> D
    D --> C
    G --> F
    F --> D#

    ideally the chord any particular person wants to play depends on the scale he sings at....

    the actual guitar chords u play shoudlnt actually make a difference.... whether u play a G&D or a A&E, or even other combos (C&G, F&C are other popular combos) since they r all equivalent.... unless u find it easier to play certain chords compared to others.... up2 u...

    cheers

    sumit HaNdS uPPP!!

    hey it want make difference if u play in G or A coz that differs with the tuning of ur guitar.....usually ppl. play guitar in their own scale....so i think it doesnt makes big difference.......yah sometimes when ur guitar is in high scale u need to play in Gb or F......or if ur guitar is in low scale u need to play it in G# or A......or if ur tuning is to low u may play it in B or C scale....so playing depends on the tuning of ur guitar and ur vocal...
    i hope i dint bore u by saying this

    i dont know why i am replying to this so late. but noticed this thread in the similar threads section of my allah ke bandhe repost.

    wel skmoorthy.. what u said is absolutely wrong. it is not opk to tranpose and say it didnt make any difference.

    try singing dil se in C or jaane jaan in Am it will sound ****.

    I rest my Case.
