Hendrix is the best, Who is your best guitarist????

    Which guitarist would you like to have been or have met?Also Jimi created the hot-rodded blues/rock sound. Who else was playing like him in 1966? Clapton, no. Jimmmy Page, no. Also why are Strats so popular? Every guitarist tries to find the Hendrix sound. He is the guitar god and he is the best.

    hendrix is best....no doubt..he was the first one to introduce the techniques 4 the electric guitar...

    seroiously our guitar class was just talkin bout this. Hendrix was good during HIS TIME. Now seriously the best guitarist ever is Joe Satriani, he taught Kirk Hammet, He taught Steve Vai (starting from a simple E chord) and now hes taught over 100 different rock musicians. Best guitarist ever Then i'd say Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Slash, Angus....

    @all, well, my idol is Yngwie Malmsteen, other greats are Joe Satch, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, and umm......and of course, Slash is a personal favorite:)

    Yea I have many favs too
    but the guitarist I'd like to emulate is John McLaughlin
    Hes my hero, my guiding light! Maybe one day I'll be able to play like him...

    alot of people forget that satch ALOS taught Alex Skolnick, which imo was his best student ever...my favorite too

    Jimi hendrix still rocks after 40 yrs....
    even his Career was only 4 yrs....
    no one has been able to copy that legend
    go to any Guitar website ...he is always Undistibutedly at the top

    yeah i agree with that, all these years past and still calling him the greatest is BLASPHEMY :p Don't get me wrong, he's one of my favorite guitarists.
