Ohhk.. So like, we be 4 friends who are currently actually all at prety much the amateur guitarist stage... so, suggest some songs which can be easily played... We have a Feneder Telecaster, a Givson Semi-Acoustic and 2 other Acoustics... I'm on vocals for the time being... and like, we don't have a bassist. Also, my drums are yet to come... So far, we've managed to do justice to "Zombie" by the Cranberries, David Bowie's "The Man Who Sold The World", and excluding the solos, GnR's "Sweet Child" and Iron Maiden's "Dance Of Death".... So like, suggestions???
And oh yeah... the bass lines are played on an acoustic... it doens;t sound all that great, but like, ohhkish... so, some easy songs with easy chord progressions...
get an octave affects pedal and turn the electric into the bass guitar !! or if one of the acoustic is a semi-acoustic then turn that into the bass with the pedal
iron maiden - Fear of the Dark wher streets hav no name - u2 nothing else matter - Metallica smells like teen spirit - Nirvana.....
well if it works for you then fine ... @asmo try black sabbath ... war pigs, iron man, behind the wall of sleep etc ... easy to play and very catchy tunes... will get your audience bangin thier heads in no time
Asmo, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is perfect for you guys. The song uses quite a bit of acoustic guitar also (clean tone maybe, but works). It should work out for you, its very simple and also very catchy. But drums...you'll need them. Or if you want to play something more famous, just leave out the acoustic guys and play Ironman or Paranoid.:. Oh yeah, just remembered another one, if you got a good processor, you could play "Like A Stone" by Audioslave. Very good song and very easy too. But the vocal department HAS to be extremely good, not an easy song to sing. You really cant expect less from Cornell....
Okay, i thought of two more, which should be playable if you practice enough. Windowpane or To Bid you farewell by Opeth. Lots of acoustic parts and also electric parts. Try them.
Umm.. too many songs man... Guess what? I managed to ge Slayer's Bloodline on the acoustic... it ****ing sounds crazy!
try billy joel song you may be right. play it key of D instead of original A, it would sound cool for the basic rock set up you have.. it will sound really cool... some other time pass songs to get going poison every rose has its thorn judas priest - living after midnight black sabbath - paranoid tom petty american gril radiohead creep these r all very basic songs.. with very simple lead work.
