I have got a hawaiin guitar at home ,but dont know how to play it,can any one haelp me out

I'hv seen it being played kept in a horizontal position and that too without a pick or something..its like a jockey thing you need to play it with.(as far as i know).
well, i m learning it ,but da prob is dat i cant visit my guru g daily,so i thought dat dis site wud b a gr8 help 2 me

^ the hawaian guitar is the one which is kept on the lap while playing. it's played usually with a slide over the fretboard and 3/4 finger-picks to pluck the strings. and since he has used the word "guru g", i'm sure it is that only.
in alpha1's post the guitar in the 1st pic is hawaiian. the 2nd one is of a spanish classical guitar.
