Hello folks, I have a GB&A Acoustic Jumbo Model Just 3 months Old. I am observing that the Distance between the Strings and Lower Frets is Less (<) than the Distance between Strings and Upper Frets. I am often noticing fret buzz. The Tuning is perfect as I have an elec- troninc Tuner.Do u guys think that the Action of my guitar is disturbed. If yes, then How to get it corrected.I dont think GB&A acoustic has an adjustable tross rod. Please Help. Regards Vipin
Did you use strings of different thickness. If yes get back to your old thickness which must be thinner than the ones u have now. Anyways get a thinner set of strings and try coz of less tension they might not buzz. Or else u need to have ur neck redone.
ur neck is probably getting warped.. one tip..after you are done playin ur guitar for the day..loosen all the strings..and tune it when u play the next time. if fret buzz is happening then ur guitar action will probably have to be raised.where exactly are u gettin ur fret buzz on the lower frets or the upper frets? anyways..my suggestion would be to take ur guitar to the store..and ask the guitar tech out there to make the necessary adjustments. peace.and keep playin.
Hey...are you supposed to play around with the tuning everytime...The tulasi guy told me to keep the tuning proper all the time...if you detune and tune everyday..wont the quick changes in tension affect the neck..?Also the wood.. any tuning change and corresponding tension change needs some time to settle down..but if you change it everyday..then...
I am getting Buzz on Lower Frets. The (New) Strings are of same Guage as Old ones .17 to .52 (Phosphor Bronze) D'Addario. But I think that if Distance between strings and Frets (All) is not constant there is definately some problem.
I'm not talking about minor tuning changes...but if you like totally make it loose..the tension is radically changed....that cant be good if you do it regularly....
90% its a probelm witrhg the truss rod - go to the nearest guitar tech and ask him to fix it - unless ur sure of wat ur doing and have done this like a million times before -0dont do it on ur own guitar...
