help needed to choose a song for a party

Hi Guys I have a party in 1st week of Nov..I want to perform sthing
I can sing can can play along(not that well but I can with Practice)
It is an Indian party so cant do any english number and we dont have any other guitarist so thats the problem:help: :help:

For that I need help in choosing a song...I need a song which in not too slow
and easy to sing and play
I feel Aadat and who lamhe is too old...and too much done
I was thinking bikhra hoo by jal...
I was thinking XL ki kudiya but most of the people are unaware of the song
and dont think they will enjoy...

Go for songs of da band call or tht new hit song of atif aslam tere bin really awesum to sing n play..
call songs tht r gud fr playin and singin
Shayad, bichar kai bhi, and sab bhula kai
dere not really easy if ur a beginner but if ur intermediate u can prob get it wid practice

 

i guess for an indian party u'd do well to go for a few oldies
most of the people over there would be buddha s and you can cash in on the nostalgia factor
go for ek pyaar kya naghma hai
kishore kumar tracks work fine in these parties

Whats the age group of the people attending? If its more than 30-35 than you better go for the oldies.

For young guyz jus play one of the latest ones..or some good tracks from the 21st century.

I can't advise ya much here bcoz i only listen to english music. Don't they understand english though? Indians love English music more than some englishmen.

 

The thing is there will be only young people it is a coll festival ....u can say a diwali party types....so....oldies wont help..............

I am at intermediate level with guitar but need easy songs coz I mess up when I sing along.........

I was wondering a combo of aadat(bikhra hoo version) and woh lamhey(Atif version).............even thinking for XL ki kudiya............(but most of the people are unaware of the song)

aj...i dont think english will work, even I am more comfortable with english songs.......

 

It doesn't matter if they are unaware of any song. Make it new to em.

Your choice aint bad for the people who will attend it and for your playing level.

yaar it is diwali coll fest....so cant play sutta(I really want to)...

Yup, thats an awesome crowd puller song. Especially with college going crowd.
Has very easy solo, and very simple chord strums.
